Rich Martini thank you for giving me the opportunity to feel Amelia ….. Below is an account from his book Hacking the Afterlife…. The movie is this Sunday on beautiful Amelia Earhart.
I can’t begin to describe the emotion I had after three different mediums answered the same odd questions I had them ask directly to Amelia. I’ve been researching her story for 25 years, and have found evidence of what happened to her after she disappeared, but is not public knowledge. (Some of it will be featured in Sunday’s History Channel show from Les Kinney and Dick Spink who had similar paths.) Without meaning to, I had access to three different mediums (Pattie Canova, Jamie Butler, Jennifer Shaffer) and as an experiment – not being well versed in mediumship, I thought “Why not ask the same 20 questions to Amelia through three different mediums and see if her story changes?”
As I report in “Hacking the Afterlife” (https://www.facebook.com/hackingtheafterlifebook/) the answers did not. But beyond that, while asking the question “so what happened to you? How did you die?” (Pattie had said “stomach illness” Jamie said “She’s telling me not to focus on the manner of her death but on how she lived” then said “Amelia is telling me she won’t reveal how she died to me now, but if the person who wrote this question wants to talk to her privately, she will” (that’s me and I did 2 years later while transcribing the session and hearing it for the first time) and Jennifer said “She’s showing me a stomach illness. Dysentery?”)
During the Jennifer interview “Amelia” added that two GI’s had dug up her body on Saipan (in 1944) but had only recovered “an arm.” I was familiar with the accounts from Fred Goerner’s book “Searching for Amelia” where in the 2nd edition he hunts down the two GI’s and they confirm they dug her up, but made no mention of only recovering an arm.
A few minutes after my interview (on film) with Jennifer, I was driving away from her office and got a phone call from a former NTSB investigator who had been given access to this research that will be featured on Sunday’s show. He said “Rich, everything you’ve been saying about her being arrested and incarcerated is accurate. But I noticed something unusual – in the documents, it said that the GIs who dug her up only recovered her arm.” Literally seconds after hearing that detail from Amelia, it was being repeated to me from someone who had read a document detailing it.
Six months later, I found a published interview with the two GI’s (Chicago Tribune, UPI Jan 1977) where the two GI’s said “off camera” that they had only recovered her arm and a partial rib cage. I asked “Amelia” point black – “So where is the rest of you?” I fully expected something like “buried at sea” or “on a ship that sunk in Okinawa” but she didn’t say that. She had Jennifer draw me a map – of Saipan, where I had just spent four weeks filming eyewitnesses – and she drew a location that I knew exactly what she was talking about. I had been there. She explained why she was there.
Hopefully one day I’ll head back there and xray that spot, see if what she’s saying is accurate or true – we had permits to excavate the airfield where the Electra is, but ran out of funds. But when someone asked me recently “So why aren’t you on the next plane to Saipan to dig up her bones?” I replied “What’s more important? The fact that Amelia’s body is recoverable, that her bones still exist? Or that I was able to communicate with her in real time and prove that she still exists as a person? That we don’t die? That we all exist once we leave the planet, and we are all accessible by means if we take the time to figure out how to communicate with ourselves “back home.” What’s the bigger story here? That Amelia was incarcerated and died on Saipan? Or that she still exists on the Flipside, and we can talk to her directly?”
That’s why I’m in no hurry to get back to Saipan. Yes, I know where she’s buried (or so she indicated). But more importantly, I know where she is now, and she’s having a hell of time with her pals on the Flipside. I know how controversial this comment is – but seeing her in these color pix brought back the memory of that moment a few years ago, thanks to Jennifer – thanks to my friend Abbie Adams Yaffe who 30 years ago said “No one’s told the story of Amelia Earhart and you should do that…” and while she may have disappeared 80 years ago, she’s precisely where she wants to be at the moment. (or so she says.)

A tribute to my dad who is in Heaven. Saying Happy Father’s Day didn’t resonate, but saying in my heart, I love you and miss you so much that my heart aches…. Does. Here is what I said at the celebration of his life. I was asking for a miracle and then words started flowing through me with thoughts and pictures of what this miracle was.
Do You Know How Much I Love You
One of my First Memories of my dad
Was his laughter, holding me and looking up and seeing those bright blue eyes. He was 26 years old and 6’2. This tall handsome guy I was looking at became my first love. Those Blue Eyes Never Changed, always loving, always Focused, so knowledgeable, so sage and all wrapped up in those eyes.
As I prayed for my dad “Miracle” was the word that came to mind, I prayed for that miracle for my dad, we all did.
As I did that, I remembered how he almost didn’t make it here. When My grandfather was away at war he received a call, my grandmother had gone into labor with complications. The doctor asked my grandfather which one he wanted him to save – his wife or his unborn baby? They didn’t think that both would survive. As many of you know the doctor did manage to save them both. My dad was the miracle of love.
Another miracle was my dad meeting my mother.
My dad went on his mission to Argentina, there was this red headed guy with freckles that my dad teased relentlessly. He would tell this guy – You can’t get to heaven with a freckled face because the lord won’t allow a speckled race. The miracle is that my dad ended up falling in love with and marrying this red headed guy Jack’s Sister.
Then I was shown the miracle of my dad staying alive for as long as he did.
In 1999, he thought he had an asthma attack while running, but he survived a massive heart attack, Thank you mom for making him go in to see the doctor. The first of many times my mom keeps him alive.
Even though my dad liked to kid around, he had a way of making everyone feel they were the most special person on the planet. He had profound love for all of you, that still has no time and knows no bounds.
My dad loved me through all of my changes and passions, my ups and downs and my growth and my transformations. He continued to love and support me as I discovered my gifts and he understood my work seeking spiritual fulfillment in life through helping others.
Which takes me back to one of the last things he said to me ….
“Do you really know, I mean really know how much I love you?”
As I looked through my tears into those beautiful blue eyes and held his hand, my answer was I DO, with every part of my being.
Thank you dad for being that miracle in my life, I will always love you.
For those of you missing your fathers today, I send you strength and Love. Talk to your father and ask for signs that he is around. How will you honor him today? I did in part by sharing the miracle I was searching for. Love is a frequency that is unique like a cell pone number for the person you are calling. Call from your heart to your father in Heaven, everything is answered in love.

Today was an amazing day by first being filmed for a project with award winning film maker and author Richard Martini. The rest of the day was packed with beautiful clients and their loved ones who have crossed over. The last part of the day I was able to capture the sunset by stepping out onto my office balcony. A week ago today my daddy earned his “Angel Wings” ….. I want to express the love and gratitude I have for not only my amazing family but also for my beautiful friends who were there these last few weeks. He was loved by so many people that my heart is still in awe of the hundreds of individuals that came to celebrate his life. I now have a very personal experience to having a heavy heart. This makes my work that more important to me. I look forward to the healing. #LoveIsEternal

Wednesday afternoon I received a call from my mom saying my dad has advanced stages of pancreatic cancer….. My dad is a fighter and has a very strong faith. He has the most beautiful spirit. Prayers matter, love matters and I am eternally grateful for anything you send our way. The first thing I did when I heard the news was reach out to some of my friends and head to the beach – that sunset was taken Wednesday night while I cried, got angry and prayed. Life is short have no regrets.
I “see” a lot in my line of work. I have parents wanting to know what the last 24 hours of their child’s life was like before they crossed. Parents of missing children ask me if they are still alive or not or were they in pain.
However, nothing prepared me for the love and pain I witnessed the last couple of days. I was asked by one of my dearest friends to talk to her extended family because their 11-year-old child was on life support due to a food allergy and asthma. This beautiful boy is also a twin. Talking to this family had me in uncontrollable tears. He came through expressing to his twin sister how much he loved her and then gave her so much evidence of how he was still here. He said so many things to this amazing family that provided some comfort but couldn’t diminish the pain everyone felt, including myself.
I am a firm believer in miracles but as his father asked me to tell him “please come back,” I could barely speak. This beautiful boy kept showing me how he tried to come back into his body and couldn’t …. It was not allowing him to. Reports from all of the tests at the hospital eventually confirmed that he was brain dead. How could this happen so quickly?…. My heart shattered….. Yesterday they took this very sweet boy off of life support and Heaven gained an angel. We love you Oakley, you will be in our hearts forever……
The reason I’m posting this picture is because I asked Oakley to show me a sign in colors ……. As I did last night, this sunset with a fire in its heart appeared within minutes….

Beth’s Story About Love & Loss
My mom passed away a few months ago. Shortly after my loss, I visited an intuitive (aka: psychic, medium).

Why? I had tremendous guilt for the infrequent visits we made to the nursing home where my mom resided. It was a home for people with dementia. The last time I saw her, I felt there was no connection. She didn’t know who I was. And I no longer knew who she was.
I wanted to communicate with her again. It had been years since I’d been able to hear what she was thinking.
Was she mad at us for putting her in a home? Was there anything she wanted me to know?
When my maternal grandfather was in the VA hospital with the same early onset of dementia, it was.. memorable. But not in a good way.
I didn’t want my kids to see their grandmother the same way I saw my grandpa when I was younger and not capable of processing what was going on. I wanted my kids to remember my mom for who she was. Their fun, loving, funny, creative and kind grandma.
Not the lady who didn’t speak and watched movies in bed all day.
Years earlier, I communicated with my mom’s younger sister, Lynne, through a medium. She passed away from the same “family disease” at 60. Reaching her through the psychic gave me such a sense of relief. Not only because she told me my dad’s DNA stopped the gene from being passed on to the rest of us, but also because she told me she was happy. She was freed from her body that stopped working. She was in a better place.
I was hoping for a similar read with my mom. Well really, I was praying that she had “arrived” and would come through.
And She did.
My Visit With the Psychic
The first thing she communicated was, “Beth, don’t feel guilty about not visiting often, because I was visiting you.” Kleenex, please. Then, wait. Huh? She was in a nursing home in Ohio and we were in California.
She told me she assisted my daughter who cut her bangs in her bedroom. Viv did do this in 1st grade. They looked fabulous. She also told Jennifer (the intuitive) that my daughter had her name. Also correct. After 20 more minutes of communication with my mom, I asked her what she would like done with her ashes.
She said, “Spread them in Scotland.”
Yep. That was definitely her.
Honoring My Mom
Three months later, my husband, my kids and I were walking out of Dublin airport. I had my mom’s ashes in my carry on bag and a few loose ideas of what we wanted to do in Ireland before heading to Scotland.
We spent a few days in Dublin and then took a train to a ferry in Northern Ireland, which docked in Scotland. A local we met on the ferry gave us a ride to Edinburgh, where I walked around for days with my moms ashes in my bag. I was looking for a sign.
Every scrape of paper on the ground, graffiti on the wall. I was searching for a message that basically said, “Beth, spread my ashes here. Love, Mom.”
I was starting to get nervous. Although I knew she loved Edinburgh, there was a Fringe festival going on and the place was packed. I had envisioned the wind carrying her ashes off the highest point of Edinburgh Castle with my family around me saying kind words about her. But this place was wall to wall people.
With 3 days left of the trip, my husband, Erik told us we were going on a drive to St. Andrews. We protested. There were ashes to be spread in Edinburgh. We weren’t interested in seeing an old golf course or where Kate met William!
Finding Her Spot
When we arrived, I was underwhelmed. He dragged us here and he dragged us there. My mom wasn’t a huge golfer and I didn’t know if she had ever been here. What if she had visited with my dad and thought, “Never again?!” But then, something happened.
We walked to St. Andrews Cathedral (the ruins of a super old church) and their cemetery. With the soft wind blowing off the ocean, the green grass and the sun shining, it dawned on me.
I was so caught up in doing it right, I had become paralyzed over what to do with her ashes.
There wasn’t a right way to do this. I thought about my mom. A free spirit who read, “Free To Be You And Me” to us all the time as kids. I needed to let go of being caught up trying to make this the “perfect” experience.
I needed to just honor my mom.
At that point, I felt such peace and love for my family that a sense of calm came over me.
My kids found an isolated spot. There was no one around. We had all the time in the world.
Without hesitation, they grabbed a handful of ashes and joyously began spreading them.

They decided she needed to have her name in the cemetery. A place to remember where she was.
They each began to write a message to her on the concrete.
Erik cringed when he saw the kids writing, um, in her ashes. But he knew my mom, and knew she loved anything her grandchildren did.
My son, Alex knew she loved the color yellow and really wanted yellow flowers at her site. He found some tiny daisies and began decorating the area. He was humming a song about heaven. It was the perfect celebration for my mom.

Closing the Chapter on her Loss
A few weeks later , I ran into Jennifer (the medium). I told her how we spread her ashes in Scotland. Did she remember telling me that??
While I quickly scrolled through my pictures to show her one, she laughed. “Your mom got a real kick out of it and loved it. She’s very happy with where she is.”
I showed her the picture and said, “I think that bird was my mom watching us.”
She glanced at the picture and said, “That’s just a bird. But look at the clouds. She’s smiling down on you. The answers are always in the clouds.”

I was just notified that I have given over a thousand readings ….. My online calendar system has so far recorded 1004 in the last eighteen months.
